This self-contained 12 volt dimmer is perfect for precise control of interior accent lighting in your auto, truck, RV, boat or aircraft. Extremely powerful PWM Dimmer with 7 Amps of capacity. Easy-to-install, . High quality fluted knob included. Advanced design includes over-current protection, reverse polarity protection and over-voltage protection. Modular construction - Separate Rheostat and Dimmer PCB. Rheostat shaft is 0.267" (17/64")(6.75mm). Dimmer PCB (1 1/16" x 1.5") has screw-down input and output terminals. Color-coded wiring for easy installation. 30cm of wire (our images show shorter length - actual supplied wire is longer). High-quality, large-format fluted type knob included (secures by set-screw). New improved rheostat with 12mm of thread for mounting in thicker panels. Note that the rheostat does not have an integrated on/off switch - rather it is OFF when in the full counterclockwise position. Supports up to 96 Watts (7 A, 12VDC) so you can use this controller for many low current LED products. Installation is easy - connect to a fused power source and then wire your lights (both + and - leads) to the dimmer using the screw-down terminal posts. Includes an instruction manual to assist your installation. Note that the dimmer should always be used with an in-line fuse between your power source and the dimmer, to protect your lighting devices and the dimmer. The dimmer's design includes over-voltage, over-current and reverse polarity protection and its circuit board is conformal coated to help insulate the circuit from surrounding metal and wires.
